Deep Water Studies
Some content is written from the shore.
This isnโt that.
If you have ever been in a season where the prayers felt like they were bouncing off the ceiling, where the silence stretched past what you thought you could bear, where you kept showing up to God with the same unanswered question โ you are exactly who this is for.
Deep Water Studies is a collection of Scripture studies built for the hard season. Not the season where everything is fine and you want to go a little deeper. The season where you need something that actually holds.
These studies are not devotional lite. They are doctrine proven by a life, paired with testimony, because the Word was never meant to stay abstract. It will meet you in the middle of the mess and hold you there until the harbor comes into view.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each study includes:
๐ค Reflection questions that go past the surface
๐ A journaling prompt to make it personal
โ A weekly challenge to take it off the page and into your actual life
๐ A closing prayer to seal it
You donโt need a theology degree. You donโt need to have it together. You just need to show up.
A quick word before you dive in:
I am not a biblical scholar. No seminary degree, no formal theological training. Just someone who has been in the deep water, tested these truths against a real life, and lived to tell about it.
Where I reference Hebrew words or historical context Iโve done my best to be accurate, but I always encourage you to search the Scriptures yourself. These studies are a starting point, not a final word.
Consider me a fellow traveler who got lost, found the map, and came back to show you where the trail actually goes.
THE FIRST SERIES
How Long? A Study Through Psalm 13
David had reached the end of himself.
For days, perhaps longer, he had been turning the same questions over in his mind. Rehearsing every possibility. Searching for an answer that would not come.
The result? Sorrow.
Not because David lacked faith. But because the soul was carrying a burden it was never designed to carry alone.
Psalm 13 is six verses. It moves from the bottom of the pit to the top of a song. And the journey does not require a change in circumstances โ only a change in who you are talking to.
How Long is a three-part study through those six verses. It covers the faulty thinking beneath self-counsel, the turn that changes everything, and the song that comes before the answer arrives.
It is also my testimony.
I know what it costs to be in verse two for a very long time. I know what it feels like when the silence stretches past what you thought you could bear. And I know from the other side of it that the harbor is real.
